Brenden is getting good at the piano. He likes to show off his piano skills, so we thought we would film him doing it... Watch his tongue in the video.. he hasn't quite figured out how to keep it in his mouth while he is playing..

Here are some pictures from sledding. I took the boys up with some of my friends at night.. it was good times. I was scared going down the hill, but Brenden wasn't scared at all. I was more worried about them hitting trees on Old Main.

Night Snowboarding with Ian

I have taken Ian snowboarding a few times now and he has become quite cocky about his skills. He asks me if I saw him pull some of his "sweet tricks". He' s a dork. Well, yesterday, I was in the library studying and a few of my friends text me and told me that it was stake ski night up at Beaver Mtn resort... so I decided to take Ian with me. He did really good snowboarding again, but one of my friends Dan was there with his fiance, (they were both learning) and Ian lapped them 3 times by the time they got down the hill once... and he made sure they knew it... it was pretty funny. He definitely has no fear. Next time I go, I will get some video of him going down the hill. But I had a friend take a couple pictures before we left. Now that I bought them their own gear, it's a lot cheaper to take them with me.... Anyways, I just thought I would share... Also, apparently it was -16 degrees on the mountain last night, but he was a trooper...

We have been getting dumped on this week up here in Logan... and it's great for me (snowboarding purposes). I am actually taking Ian snowboarding tomorrow. Anyways, I thought I would just show you what the front of my townhouse complex looks like. I took this with my phone....

Happy New Year!!!

I'm glad the new year has begun. I have had to evaluate a few situations in my life and also friendships... It is good and bad I suppose. I hate putting my heart out there, especially for relationships. Especially when I feel like I am not being respected and my feelings aren't being respected either. So 2007 made me become a bit more blunt and realize what I will and wont put up with and also made me realize what I do and don't in mine or my little guys lives.

It's hard to end things and let go. I think it's even harder to let go when you feel like it's everything you have ever wanted. But unfortunately, we are only in control of our own destiny, and can't really control the decisions other people make. So I will accept my fate, my faults and my convictions... I am glad 2008 is here, but with everything I have experienced in 2007, the good, the bad, etc... I do feel like I am a stronger person. My priorities are my children and me.. I need to protect their little hearts as well as mine.

I think the scariest thing we face in life is our own fears, but for 2008, I definitely say... BRING IT ON! I think I have had to live past my fears, have had them repeat and have to live past them again, but I have learned a lot from them. I am getting an even tougher shell/barrier to break past and I will continue to have to work on that, but I do deserve to be respected. I realize that I need to respect myself more and stand up for myself more.. And so I have. I'm grateful for new friends I have in my life who have helped me a lot, and for the old friends I have that are so amazing. I am definitely grateful for my family and my two amazing little boys.

I also got to go to California to see family and Sara came with. She is another single mom that I met a few months ago and we have become pretty good friends. I'm glad she is in my life as well. These are a few of the pictures we took while we were out there...
